What happens during a Reiki session?

During a Reiki session, you will lie down or sit comfortably while the practitioner places their hands lightly on or above your body. Many people feel relaxed, calm, or experience warmth or tingling sensations. After the session, we may discuss your experience and any insights that came through.

What does Reiki feel like?

Reiki often feels deeply relaxing. Some people experience warmth, tingling, or a sense of calm. Others may feel emotional release or simply peaceful and grounded.

Can Reiki help with anxiety or stress?

Reiki promotes deep relaxation and may help calm the nervous system. Some studies suggest it can support stress reduction and improve overall well-being, though it is not a substitute for medical care.

Can Reiki be done remotely?

Yes. Distance Reiki allows healing energy to be sent remotely using intention and traditional Reiki techniques. Many people find remote sessions just as relaxing and effective as in-person sessions.

How should I prepare for a Reiki session?

You are welcome to wear comfortable clothes. For remote sessions, please find a place in your house where you are able to lie down and be free from distractions. If you would like to play gentle spa music in the background, you are welcome to do so. Here are some songs and playlists that I love.

Optional music for remote sessions:

Spotify: Angel Reiki Music Playlist

YouTube: Reiki Music: by Nu Meditation Music

YouTube: 432hz - Tibetan Zen by Healing Your Mind

Can I meditate during a Reiki session?

Yes, you are welcome to meditate, but it is not required. Simply relaxing and being open to receiving Reiki is enough. If your mind wanders, gently return your focus to your breath.

How many Reiki sessions do you need?

The number of sessions depends on you. Some people come every three months, while others wait six to twelve. Trust your own timing.

Is Reiki safe?

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that is considered safe for most people. It is used for relaxation and wellness and does not replace medical care.

How quickly does Reiki work?

Many people feel relaxed during their first session, while others notice benefits over time. Each person’s experience is unique.
